Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly extended the contract of star striker Victor Boniface.

That's according to German publication Ligainsider, who claims that the Nigerian striker has put pen to paper on an extension to his contract, which was due to expire in 2028.

Reports have been circulating for some time about Leverkusen's desire to extend the contract of Boniface, who is said to have attracted interest from a number of top clubs.

Now, according to the report, which cites insider sources, an announcement is imminent.

Boniface joined Leverkusen from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 for a fee believed to be in the region of €22 million.

The Nigeria international has been out of action since mid-November with a hamstring injury.
