Back in May, Borussia Dortmund decided to bring back their former chief scout Sven Mislintat and appoint him as a squad planner.

It didn't take long for things to go wrong internally, with reports claiming he was acting outside his area of responsibility.

Not only did he clash with his superior, Sebastian Kehl, but, according to Sport Bild, he even tried to take his job as sporting director.

According to local publication Ruhr Nachrichten, managing director for sport Lars Ricken has now made the decision to sack Mislintat, with the decision expected to be announced soon.

The report claims that despite recently extending his contract until 2027, Kehl's position at the club is uncertain too.

Ricken has been active of late, sacking Nuri Sahin as head coach and reportedly giving external advisor Matthias Sammer an ultimatum.

According to Bild, Sammer has been told that he must decide whether he wants to remain a consultant for the club or continue his work as a TV pundit.
