Ahead of VfB Stuttgart's Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin on Saturday, head coach Sebastian Hoeness provided a personnel update on Friday.

Among the notable absences, Jamie Leweling will miss the match due to muscle problems. However, there is a positive update for Stuttgart fans, as Jeff Chabot hasshaken off a knock.

“Luca Raimund is missing, El Bilal Touré is still feeling a reaction in his foot. Jamie Leweling is out with muscle issues. Jeff Chabot is back in training and will be involved. Niko Nartey is fully back in team training. ‘Daxo’ (Zagadou) is thankfully in partial training. Anrie Chase is on the verge of returning – just like Justin Diehl and Josha Vagnoman,” Hoeness said.

Nick Woltemade will also be unavailable due to suspension following his red card in last week’s loss to Werder Bremen. In his absence, Deniz Undav will be handed the opportunity to start.

“Deniz will play. I can already announce that,” Hoeness confirmed.
