Whether it happens this summer or at a later point, it seems inevitable that Hugo Ekitiké will eventually leave Eintracht Frankfurt.

And when he does, he feels "better prepared" than when he joined Paris Saint-Germain as a young player.

"I've got more experience now and I'm scoring goals. I'm concentrating on my club, but I know I'll be better prepared when I move on than I was back then," Ekitiké told L'Equipe.

The French forward joined Paris in 2022 and saw limited playing time, playing alongside superstars such as Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Despite this, the 22-year-old forward doesn't feel he wasted his time in the French capital.

“Not at all. I trained every day with the best players in the world. I would have been the stupidest player, the stupidest person, if I hadn't learnt anything.”

Ekitiké has been in fine form for Eintracht this season, scoring 18 goals in 34 appearances.
