With the dismissal of Marco Rose from RB Leipzig, players that were formally deemed ‘flops’ could get a chance next season.

One name being talked about is that of Ilaix Moriba, who arrived from Barcelona for €16million back in 2021.

Moriba’s time in Lower Saxony looked doomed with just 6 appearances in 4 seasons, but his fortunes may have changed according to Kicker.

The 22-year-old is set to feature in the upcoming pre-season for Leipzig before a decision is made regarding his future.

Although loaned out to Celta Vigo who have a €4.5million purchase option, nothing is definite yet.

The Guinean midfielder has performed well for the La Liga side in 26 outings this campaign.
