After missing Eintracht Frankfurt's 2-1 win over Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday, Robin Koch is a big doubt for Sunday's Bundesliga game against Union Berlin.

“Robin Koch has recovered from mild concussion, but now has a minor infection," revealed Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller at a press conference on Friday.

“We’ll have to see how he is tomorrow and wait and see if he’s well enough for Sunday.”

Thursday's win got Eintracht back on track after two straight Bundesliga defeats, and Toppmöller is keen for his side to build on that against Union Berlin.

“Our expectations are clear: to build on the game in Amsterdam with the same performance, intensity and, ideally, another win. Union play with great intensity and work well off second balls and set pieces," he said.

“It’s going to be a tricky task, but we feel well-prepared and physically fit, which you could see yesterday. That intensity will play a big role again on Sunday.

“It’s important to me that we put wins like yesterday into perspective, but also put defeats into perspective. We want to do everything in our power to get back to winning ways in the Bundesliga too," said the Eintracht coach.

Aurele Amenda (calf), Timothy Chandler (thigh), Igor Matanović (foot) and Ellyes Skhiri (suspended) will certainly miss the game for Eintracht.
