After losing three of their first four games under Steffen Baumgart, Union Berlin could do with a boost to their squad in their bid to avoid relegation.

According to reports from Turkey and Serbia, the capital club have targeted former Eintracht Frankfurt player Filip Kostic.

Serbian outlet sportvesti reports that the 32-year-old Juventus man's loan spell at Fenerbahce could be cut short this month as he doesn't appear to have a future under Jose Mourinho in Turkey.

Union Berlin could offer Kostic an escape route and are reportedly trying to sound out the possibility of a transfer.

Kostic, who can play as a left wing-back and winger, would battle for game time with the likes of Robert Skov, Tom Rothe and Jerome Roussillon, none of whom have been able to impress consistently this season.
