Last summer, Mainz sent Tom Krauß out on loan to English Championship side Luton Town for the 2024/25 season.

However, according to ‘Tief im Westen - Das VfL-Magazin’, that loan spell is now set to be cut short, with the 23-year-old set to join VfL Bochum instead. According to the report, the loan transfer is imminent.

Krauß is under contract to Mainz until 2027. He has scored two goals and laid on four assists in 23 appearances for Luton in the English Championship this season.

Mainz signed the central midfielder from RB Leipzig for a reported €5 million in the summer of 2023.

He has played a total of 62 games in the Bundesliga for Leipzig, Schalke 04 and Mainz.
