Leroy Sané could be set for a move to the Premier League

The former Manchester City and current Bayern Munich winger might make a comeback to the Premier League in the summer, as Sky Germany reports.

It has been a difficult season for Leroy Sané; while he has been able to play 34 games and contribute to 12 goals in 2024/25, the 29-year-old is not a regular starter for Bayern Munich - and struggles with consistency.

Coach Vincent Kompany is a big fan of Sané, but his high wages could be a problem for the Bayern officials: he earns a reported €15 million gross per year (as per “Capology”) and therefore more than players like Michael Olise and Leon Goretzka, who are regular starters for Bayern.

Sané's contract runs out in June of 2025 and even though there is still regular contact to Bayern's sporting manager Max Eberl, a new contract offer is currently not in sight.

Sky Germany reports that Bayern want to hold new contract talks after the international break - Sané has been selected by Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann for the games against Italy in the Nations League.

As per transfer expert Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany, Arsenal seems to be the most interested club in signing Sané currently, followed by Liverpool. A move to Saudi Arabia seems to be no option for Bayern's winger.

Sané has often spoken about his desire to stay at Bayern, but the biggest arguement against him staying seems to be his inconsistent performances for the club - the Bayern Munich officials are not convinced of him finding his top form - and keeping it.

In conclusion, these could be the last few months of Leroy Sané at Bayern Munich - and most likely in the Bundesliga as well.
