Jamie Leweling is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2029, according to Sky Germany.
By extending his contract by a further year, the winger can look forward to a significant pay rise.
Importantly for Stuttgart, the release clause of €20-25 million in Leweling's current contract won't be included in his new deal, according to Sky.
Whether this means that Leweling will no longer have a release clause, or whether it will simply be set at a higher figure, is unclear.
Leweling has made great strides since joining Stuttgart on a season-long loan from Union Berlin prior to last season - a move that has since been made permanent for €5 million.
He played his first game for the German national team in October and scored on his debut.
