Borussia Dortmund face another setback as a home defeat to Augsburg left them in tenth place. With a crucial Champions League tie around the corner, Niko Kovac showed his frustration about the lackluster display.

"That was far too little over the 90 minutes," said the Croat coach in a post-match interview with Sky. "We didn't show at all that we wanted to win the game. It was far too sluggish and slow. We didn't create any chances.

“Even in simplest situations like a throw-in, we approached it slowly. You just can't win a Bundesliga game like that. We have not shown a willingness to run, passion, intensity and aggressiveness.”

After the final whistle, Dortmund fans booed the players. BVB’s captain Emre Can called the incident “understandable”.
