Disaffected SV Werder Bremen transfer flop Naby Keïta will be heading to Hungary on a year-long loan arrangement this coming January. This is reported by both Germany's main sporting tabloid (Sport Bild) and its preeminent footballing publication (Kicker Magazine). The two sources both confirm that Hungary's Ferencvaros Budapest will take the 29-year-old on. Keïta could feature for the NB I champs in the UEL this year.
Keïta will head to the Hungarian record champions on a deal that will keep him there for one calendar year. This leaves the Guinean captain with one year left on the contract he signed with the German top flight's Hanseatic city-state side in the summer of 2023. Neither Kicker nor Sport Bild can confirm the existence of a purchase clause at this point, but do note that Werder will assume the burden of most of Keïta's salary as part of the deal.
