With Bayer Leverkusen reported to have agreed a deal to sell Victor Boniface to Al Nassr, Patrik Schick's main rival for playing time appears to be heading for the exit door at the BayArena.

However, the Czech international insists his focus will remain the same whether he's competing with Boniface for playing time or not.

"I will continue in the same way as before," Schick said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“Whether Victor is here or not doesn't change much. For me it's always the same, the same focus. I've always concentrated on myself and never looked at others.”

For Schick, a move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career is out of the question.

“I'm 29 and I still have ambitions to play at the highest level. Playing in Saudi Arabia is not a topic for me at the moment. Everyone is different. But for me personally, it's not the right time," the striker underlined.
