Patrick Wimmer stole the show for VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday, scoring a brace to lead his side to a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen.

It's only been around a month since the Austria international said he felt ready to take the next step in his career - and it seems he has no shortage of suitors.

According to Bild, Fulham are among those interested in the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.

Fellow Premier League side Leicester City are also said to be monitoring Wimmer, along with AC Milan, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl praised Wimmer after the win over Werder, telling a press conference:

"He is incredibly dynamic and always difficult to defend against. He wins a lot of balls and his pace creates dangerous counter-attacks.

"He can't sit back, he must continue to develop, then he has a great future," he continued.

Wimmer joined Wolfsburg from Arminia Bielefeld in 2022 and is under contract until 2027.
