VfL Wolfsburg have confirmed the capture of Danish international Mads Roerslev.

The 25-year-old right-back makes the switch to Wolfsburg on loan from Brentford FC for the rest of the season.

“With Mads, we are gaining a versatile, excellently trained defender who has a lot of experience for his age and is far from the end of his development. We are delighted that we have been able to convince Mads to join VfL,” said Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.

Roerslev, who joins fellow Danish internationals Jonas Wind, Joakim Mæhle and Andreas Skov Olsen at the Volkswagen Arena, commented:

“I'm very happy to be here. VfL Wolfsburg is a very good club and I like the way the team plays football. I'm delighted to be a part of it now and can't wait to play in this wonderful stadium.”
