With just over an hour to go until kick-off, Borussia Dortmund's head coach Niko Kovač has announced his starting eleven to take on LOSC Lille. The team from northern France currently sit in fifth place after 24 rounds of Ligue 1 action and have enjoyed a successful run in Europe's premier competition to date.

Meanwhile, Die Schwarzgelben will hoping to build up a lead to take with them into the second-leg next Wednesday at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Kovač's side should be confident after their comfortable progression through the prior play-off round against Sporting Lisbon in February.

Tonight, Dortmund make 4 alterations to their line-up which secured a 2-0 victory over St.Pauli at the Millerntor last Saturday afternoon. Gregor Kobel remains in goals as Julian Ryerson returns to fitness and replaces Yan Couto at right-back. Emre Can captains the team alongside Nico Schlotterbeck, while Daniel Svensson gets the nod over Rami Bensebaini.

Felix Nmecha (knee) remains on the sidelines, therefore the midfield is comprised of Pascal Groß and Marcel Sabitzer in the double-six. Karim Adeyemi and Jamie Gittens start on the flanks with Julian Brandt central behind marksman Serhou Guirassy who will be keen to add to his 10-goal tally thus far.

As for the hosts, Lille lineup in their preferred 4-3-2-1 formation with Benjamin André as captain on the night. Former BVB player Thomas Meunier starts for the French club at right back. Ex-Leverkusen defender Mitchel Bakker has to make do with a place on the bench tonight. Brother of Kylian Mbappé, Ethan, starts behind top-scorer Jonathan David.
