Jamal Musiala is aiming to make his return from injury in time to feature at the Club World Cup, which kicks off in mid-June.

In an interview with Sport Bild, the 22-year-old German international expressed his determination to be back on the pitch for the tournament.

“I started working on my comeback the day after my injury, and so far everything is going according to plan,” Musiala said.

“I have a big goal: the Club World Cup. It’s a tournament with a lot of prestige, revenue for the club, and the chance to win a new international title. And that’s what we want. I want to be back on the pitch in the USA.”

Musiala has been sidelined since the beginning of April after suffering a muscle bundle tear in his left hamstring.

Bayern will kick off their Club World Cup campaign against Auckland City on June 15.
