On Saturday, Noah Atubolu set a new club record with Freiburg as the Breisgau side drew 0-0 with RB Leipzig.

Atubolu has now gone 577 minutes without conceding a goal, surpassing the previous record of 510 minutes set by Richard Golz in 2000/01.

The 22-year-old is hoping his fine form has put him on the radar of Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.

"My goal is of course to play for Germany," Atubolu told Kicker.

"I have come through the youth ranks, including the international youth teams. And I'd be lying if I didn't say that my dream is to play for Germany one day," added the Freiburg goalkeeper, who has made 15 appearances for Germany's U21 side.

Atubolu's teammate Vincenzo Grifo believes the 22-year-old will get his opportunity to represent Germany at senior level sooner or later.

“If he carries on like this, if he stays hungry and works on himself like he is at the moment, I'm pretty sure he'll get his chance.”
