Eintracht Frankfurt will aim to recover from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Werder Bremen as they head to London to face Tottenham in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday.
They have played Spurs four times in Europe, winning one, drawing one and losing two. The last time the two sides met in London was in October 2022, when Tottenham won 3-2 thanks to a brace from Son Heung-min.
The Eagles lifted the Europa League trophy for the second time in the club's history in the 2021/22 season and will be looking to repeat that feat as the competition enters its decisive stages.
Frankfurt will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, Kevin Trapp, along with Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe and veteran Timothy Chandler. Ansgar Knauff is also likely to miss out, having picked up an injury in Eintracht's 1-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart at the end of March.
Tottenham come into the game on the back of a 3-1 win over Southampton, which ended a two-match winless streak for Ante Postecoglou's men.
Brennan Johnson’s first-half brace in that game will have boosted his confidence as he looks to carry that form into Thursday’s clash.
For the hosts, Kevin Danso and Radu Dragusin are unavailable, while Dejan Kulusevski remains a doubt.
