Since last summer, it’s been reported that Jonathan Tah is looking to leave Bayer Leverkusen when his contract expires at the end of the season.

And while the centre-back has yet to find a new employer, the situation remains unchanged, according to Kicker, who reports that Tah's agent is ruling out the possibility of a contract extension.

Tah had hoped to join Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024, but the move fell through after Leverkusen and Bayern failed to agree on a transfer fee.

A move to FC Barcelona was later viewed as all but finalized, but the La Liga club’s ongoing financial issues seem to have left them without the means to complete a signing of that magnitude.

So, while it’s still unclear where Tah will land, one thing seems certain: his future won’t be in Leverkusen.
