Things are not going smoothly at VfL Wolfsburg, with reports suggesting that Ralph Hasenhüttl will likely lose his job as head coach at the end of the season.

According to Sky Germany, Jacob Neestrup, currently in charge of FC Copenhagen, has emerged as the leading candidate to replace him.

Talks with the 37-year-old’s management are reportedly already underway behind the scenes.

Wolfsburg’s managing director for sport, Peter Christiansen, is well-acquainted with Neestrup, having previously worked with him at FC Copenhagen.

Neestrup has been head coach of FC Copenhagen since 2022 and is under contract until 2029.
