Widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in German football, Paul Wanner has a number of admirers, with Borussia Dortmund said to be one of them.

According to Sport Bild, the Black and Yellows are seriously pursuing the 18-year-old, who is currently on loan at Heidenheim from Bayern Munich.

The report claims that Wanner's name is coming up more and more frequently in meetings held by the club's management. Wanner and his agent are aware of Dortmund's general interest, but no concrete negotiations have yet taken place.

Ideally, Dortmund would like to sign Wanner permanently, but with Bayern currently unwilling to sell, they've discussed the possibility of taking the 18-year-old out on loan, believing he can make an immediate impact, even in the Champions League.

Wanner himself would like to be a regular in a Champions League side next year. As he would likely get more playing time at Dortmund than at Bayern, that could argue for a move to Signal Iduna Park.

Wanner has scored six goals and provided two assists in 21 appearances for Heidenheim this season.
