AS Roma centre-back Mario Hermoso has emerged as a transfer target for Bayer Leverkusen, according to Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany.

Die Werkself are reportedly keen to sign the 29-year-old this month as they look to strengthen at the back following Jeanuel Belocian's season-ending cruciate ligament injury.

Meanwhile, Sky Germany reports that the German champions are also considering a loan move for Aston Villa's Emiliano Buendia, who could arrive as a replacement for Martin Terrier.

The French attacker suffered an Achilles injury this month and, like Belocian, will be out for the rest of the season.
