Bochum's Miyoshi ruled out against Kiel

VfL Bochum trainer Peter Zeidler unfortunately had to confirm the loss of one of his more promising players thus far this season ahead of tomorrow's league encounter against Kiel.

VfL Bochum - having scored just one league goal through three rounds of Bundesliga action - will regrettably have to do without the player who set that goal up last weekend against Freiburg tomorrow against Kiel. New summer acquisition Koji Miyoshi, after being declared ready for minutes by VfL trainer Peter Zeidel last week, ended up making his starting debut and supplying a lovely assist on Myron Boadu's 1-0.

Zeidler confirmed that thigh problems will sideline Miyoshi tomorrow whilst speaking at his Friday presser. While a specific replacement was not named, it's likely that Moritiz Broschinski will move back up to the lead striker position. Dani de Wit - whom Zeidler specifically discussed at the press conference - could also move up an axis with captain Anthony Losilla getting the nod in midfield.

“Toto [Losilla] is an icon at VfL,” Zeidler said, "we talk to each other very often and well, he is still extremely important. He [de Wit] needs to finish, he's extremely dangerous in front of goal, even if he hasn't been able to prove that with us yet. We have to work on him getting more shots on target in goal-scoring positions."
