Kompany discusses competition for places on Bayern's wings

With Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sané all vying for two starting berths on the wings for Bayern Munich, the competition for places is fierce.
So far this season, Olise and Gnabry appear to have been the preferred pairing, but the other two are putting them under pressure when given the chance.
Coman, for example, scored and set up another in last week's 3-0 win over Union Berlin, while Leroy Sané made a big difference after coming on as a substitute against Benfica in midweek, starting the play that led to Bayern's winner.
Amid speculation that Bayern could rotate for Saturday's game against St. Pauli and start Coman and Sané, head coach Vincent Kompany told a press conference on Friday:
"It's not that difficult at the moment. Quality and talent is always very important, we have two players for each of these positions.
"If the boys perform as they are currently, it's great. Then it's a question of freshness. We can rotate at the right time. The players are experienced and know they can support and help each other."
In terms of personnel, things are “looking good” for Bayern ahead of the trip to Hamburg, Kompany said.
"It's important that we don't have too many injuries. I also feel like the team are fresh despite the number of matches - mentally and physically."
Only long-term absentees Boey (knee), Ito (foot), Pavlović (collarbone) and Stanišić (knee) are out for the Bavarians.
