With Vincent Kompany having replaced Thomas Tuchel as head coach, Bayern Munich are in the midst of a significant summer overhaul.
Bayern have already made three major signings ahead of the 2024/25 season, with Hiroki Ito (VfB Stuttgart, €23.5 million), Michael Olise (Crystal Palace, €53 million) and Joao Palhinha (Fulham, €51 million) joining for a total of €127.5 million.
The Bavarians are still working on further signings, with Xavi Simons (Paris Saint-Germain), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) and Désiré Doué (Stade Rennes) currently appearing to be their top targets.
Simons, who spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig, could arrive on loan with an option to buy, while Bayern are currently haggling with Rennes over a fee for Doué.
Not much has happened on the departures front, but Matthijs de Ligt is being linked with a move to Manchester United, which could free up space and funds to seal the signing of Leverkusen's Tah.
Alphonso Davies and Kingsley Coman are also among the players who could be heading for the exit door.
Sasha Boey, who joined from Galatasaray in January, is said to be highly rated by Kompany and could be given a new chance at right-back if Joshua Kimmich returns to a central midfield role. Josip Stanisic, back from a loan spell at Leverkusen, is also an option at right-back.
A natural centre-back, Hiroki Ito was often used at left-back for Stuttgart and could add defensive solidity to the position from Bayern.
