20-year-old Isak Hansen-Aarøen has made just three appearances for Werder Bremen's first team since joining from Manchester United in January.

In a bid to gain more playing time, the Norway Under-21 international will join Danish Superliga side Aalborg BK on loan in January until the summer.

“We have high hopes for this loan deal and are convinced that Isak will be able to see plenty of match practice at a high level in Denmark,” said Werder head of professional football Peter Niemeyer.

“Aalborg provide young, talented players with plenty of opportunities to show themselves, and Isak will be a good fit for both the team and the club's philosophy. It's important that Isak is able to feature regularly at a high level. This loan move to Denmark is therefore a good opportunity.”

Hansen-Aarøen's contract with Werder runs until 2027.
